Dallas Police uncovered a major cargo-theft operation after officers spotted a stolen semi-trailer being towed into a repair shop on University Hills Boulevard. Inside, investigators found nearly $1 million worth of stolen freight, including 600 aluminum rims, 795 tires, major appliances, auto parts, an ATV, a motorcycle, and over $32,000 in cash. Detectives later confirmed the stash was tied to at least 10 cargo-theft cases across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex dating back to 2022. The discovery triggered a coordinated investigation involving the South Central Crime Reduction Team, the DPD Salvage Squad, and the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Division.
Five men were arrested in connection with the operation. Johnny Veail, 39, was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Abdullah Majeed, 39, Mohammad Husainy, 37, Justin Kenney, 37, and Anthony Walker, 54 were each charged with Theft of Property valued at $300,000 or more, a first-degree felony in Texas. Kenney also had an additional outstanding warrant. Police say this is one of the largest cargo-theft recoveries in recent years and believe more accomplices and stolen loads may be identified as the investigation continues.
